Enjoy access to our gardens and grounds for photography sessions by purchasing our annual Photography Pass. The purchase of a photography pass makes an important contribution toward maintaining the beautiful grounds that serve as an inspirational setting for your session.
KBGA requires an annual pass ($125 ) which can be purchased online (to the right) or at the Howell House Visitors Center during business hours. Upon purchase you will receive a lanyard with your pass card. Please ensure your pass is visible while on the grounds for verification by KBGA staff. The replacement fee for a lost photography pass is $10.
A photography pass is needed for all photography sessions such as
Any person taking portraits at KBGA including but not limited to weddings, engagements, family, maternity, portfolio, prom, graduation, or cultural celebrations such as Quinceañera, and Bat and Bar Mitzvah. [Students of our neighboring high schools, Austin-East and Fulton, are not required to purchase a pass for prom photos but are still expected to abide by the guidelines listed below.]
Any visit to KBGA for which the primary purpose is to use the grounds as background or subject for photographs.
If you are using props, make-up cases, or a change of clothes.
If you are taking photographs or video for a wedding.
By purchasing a photography pass, you agree to abide by the following and ensure that your clients/group members do as well:
Keep to the designated paths and grass areas, strictly avoiding BOTH climbing on any walls, trees, or structures, AND walking in garden beds or mulched areas as plants may be dormant and not visible.
Leave plants, signs and labels undisturbed.
Respect areas occupied by private events and reduce noise levels near these events.
Keep pathways clear for other guests and ensure appropriate props are attended at all times.
Leave hazardous accessories and props, such as balloons, confetti, glitter, fake flowers, etc., at home and off premise.
Thank you for your cooperation with our photography policies, which reflect our commitment to protecting the aesthetics, beauty, and delicate nature of our Garden. KBGA reserves the right to deny access to the grounds for photography purposes to anyone if the photo shoot conflicts with other scheduled events. Questions, comments, and concerns are welcome by the staff at the Visitors Center or by email at info@knoxgarden.org.
For use of the grounds for commercial projects, such as commercial or documentary filming and other large scale projects, please email events@knoxgarden.org.
