Year-End Giving

Over the past year, with the support of donors and friends like you, Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum has continued to grow gardens, honor history, and cultivate community. We cannot sustain this free and public garden open from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year without you! As a partner in the stewardship of this extraordinary place, we enthusiastically ask you to make a year-end gift that is meaningful to you and that will ensure this dynamic and beautiful place can begin the new year ready to thrive. In 2024, important strides have been made in strengthening the nonprofit that stewards these 44-acres for the future.

2024 Highlights

  •  Stabilization of the historic Howell House Visitors Center began with repairs to the roof and foundation.

  • Expansion of open hours at the Howell House Visitors Center, which provides our only publicly accessible restrooms.

  • Introduction of the Garden Gift Shop, featuring local and botanical artisanal offerings.

  • Installation of a Native Fern Garden along the lower Dogwood Walking Trail.

  • Nurturing the next generation’s connection between gardens and nourishment by hosting plant-based cooking classes for youth in partnership with Shora Foundation and Little Chefs, Big Change.

  • Record-breaking attendance at our signature preschool Story Thyme Program week after week.

  • Adding thousands of spring ephemerals in the Martha Ashe Garden, increasing our beauty, biodiversity, and support for early spring pollinators.

Every gift, no matter the size, plays a vital role in nurturing the growth of your beloved Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum.
