Pop Up Monarch Tagging

Enjoy the wonder and beauty of flying flowers as you join Steve McGaffin of Zoo Knoxville and the Tennessee Butterfly Monitoring Nework to search the for monarchs and other butterflies. To help scientists understand the monarch migration, we’ll put lightweight tags on the monarchs we’re able to catch. All ages welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult. Free and open to everyone. We'll have a limited number of nets available. To find Steve, park in the main parking lot across from the Visitor Center (2743 Wimpole Avenue) and walk down below the gravel parking lot into the Pollinator Meadow, just below the Cedars of Lebanon. Check https://www.facebook.com/TBMN.ORG/ for last minute updates.
