Labor Day Sunflower Project

The Labor Day Sunflower Project is a celebration of collective work, bringing together the individual efforts of many for the enjoyment of all. Bring your native, domesticated, cultivar, nativar, sunflowers and sunflower seed heads to Knoxville Botanical Gardens & Arboretum on Labor Day morning. Cut your flowers and seed heads with an 18 inch stem to help us as together we weave them into a massive circle of flowers representing the beauty created by our collective labor. There will be live music, food, lots of flowers, friends, neighbors, and a uniquely Knoxville art installation to create.
