A Garden of Opportunities Awaits! Everyone has unique strengths, skills, and interests. Let us know your availability and how you'd like to get involved – the possibilities are endless! With so many activities happening, we can match you with a variety of indoor and outdoor opportunities to suit your preferences.
Current opportunities:
Weekly Garden & Grounds Volunteers | Tuesday & Wednesdays, 9am - 12pm
Each week, a dedicated group of volunteers comes to assist with various tasks in the Garden from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Hours may vary based on weather conditions). Volunteers help with weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, and seasonal cutbacks, with each week offering new and different activities. Volunteers can choose to attend either Tuesday or Wednesday, or both days. If weather conditions prevent outdoor work on your scheduled day, you'll be notified the evening before. Occasionally, indoor tasks may be available, and we’ll inform you accordingly.
Monthly Garden & Grounds Volunteers | Saturdays, 9am - 12pm
One Saturday per month, a group of volunteers gathers to assist with various tasks in the Garden from 9:00 to 12:00p.m. (Hours may vary depending on the weather). Volunteers help with weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, and seasonal cutbacks. If weather conditions prevent garden activities on your scheduled day, you will be notified the evening before.
Preschool Story Thyme | Tuesdays, 9am - 11am
April through October the Garden hosts its signature educational program, giving the youngest growers an opportunity to learn through play, hands-on garden work, nature activities, mud kitchen recipes, and seasonal stories. Volunteers help prepare the space for first hour, filling watering can tubs, preparing soil for planting, setting up crafts, pruning, and more. Then during the 10-11am program hour, volunteers support garden activity stations, craft stations, exploration, and orienting and welcoming new participants.
