We are on the verge of some exciting changes at the Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum (KBGA). Wouldn’t you like to be a part of this momentum? Volunteers are at the heart of non-profit work. Our strength results from the time and effort provided by volunteers like you willing to donate their time and energy to our mission to preserve a historic landscape and create a world-class botanical garden in the heart of Knoxville. As a non-profit organization, KBGA has many different opportunities available for almost anyone who would like to be involved. Whether you can volunteer only a few hours a week or month, we would love to have you! Don’t have a green thumb? Don’t worry! Our Gardens have a variety of needs. Opportunities generally fall under the following categories:
Duties can include setting up tables and chairs, placing signs around the gardens and surrounding areas, assisting with auction checkout, breaking down at the end of events, working the event in areas such as concessions, membership, and many more! Most work would be done during the weekends and after normal business hours. Supervision would depend on the task at hand, with many duties unsupervised.
