World Garden

Located in large plots adjacent to the Family Garden, the World Garden provides larger spaces for migrants and refugees to cultivate the corn, beans, squash, amaranth, and other traditional vegetables they enjoy. Over the past few years, we have been thrilled to host a community of recent immigrants from the Central African country of Burundi. Many of them former agrarians, we’re delighted to give them the opportunity to grow traditional Burundi crops in American soil, and showcase their farming techniques for visitors.
