In this workshop, participants will learn basic practices for developing observational drawing skills from plants and nature using various charcoals. This will take place outdoors amidst the gardens’ meadows and open spaces. We will learn basic design principles that aid us in turning infinite views and vistas into two dimensional sketches as we learn to trust and coordinate our eyes and hands. Techniques will be demonstrated that will aid you in what will hopefully become an ongoing practice where we learn to embrace our own individual drawing styles.
