Join us as we kick off the Tree Veneration art workshop series! The first class Bark HeArt will be be held on Saturday, April 14th, 12:30-4:30 in our Historic Mule Barn.
Local artist Gerry Moll will lead an investigation into the tradition of carving one’s name or the name of a loved one into a trees bark. The who, when, where and why of tree graffiti will be explored. We will then perform a formal and conceptual reversal as we install symbols made of tree bark onto the surface of wooden architectural structures.
All supplies will be provided, but if you have a good sharp utility knife please bring it with you. Please wear comfortable work clothes as we will spend most of our time creating art installations.
Registration for individual classes $20 per class for Garden members and $25 per class for non-members. Participants who register for the entire series in advance save 10%. Please call 865-832-8717 or email email@example.com with any questions.
